I used to make New Year’s resolutions, but I usually ended up never following through. So, I decided to give them up altogether. But that doesn’t mean I don’t set personal goals for myself or make lists of things I want to do, and places I want to go, throughout the year (just not at the start of each new year!).
You can set goals at any time, or not at all.

NCP Panel Membership Tips/Goals For The New Year
Here are some tips/goals to help you make the most of your panel membership in the new year. As a NCP panel member, you have the unique opportunity to make your consumer voice heard and influence what you see on store shelves. And, your household represents other households just like yours across the U.S.
Consistent and accurate reporting of your shopping trips each week is the key to getting the most out of your panel membership and accumulating reward points.
Scan purchases from all types of stores. And, scan purchases made by other household members, too.
Scan every shopping trip, large or small.
Carefully chose the correct store name from your store list. If you can’t find the name of the store you shopped at, then choose the generic store type (such as food store, department store, drugstore, etc.).
If you use coupons or get special deals such as store sales or other discounts, be sure to include that information when scanning.
Scan UPC-barcoded items, and report non-barcoded items as well, using the Non-Barcoded Items list in the NCPMobile app or the Barcode Reference Booklet if you use NCP’s handheld scanner (if you switched from using the scanner to using the app, please don’t use the booklet anymore).
Participate in NCP’s special games/promotions.
Answer all the NCP surveys you receive.
If you can’t scan for a period of time for any reason, please be sure to contact our Panel Support Center to let them know so your membership will remain in good standing.
I hope you found these tips/goals to be helpful!

Stop making them years ago
I don’t make new year resolutions. I just stick to my general plan, of taking each day as a day of improvement.
Resolutions were once about diet, save money, etc.
In 2016 we began at Thanksgiving really thinking about how grateful we were for what we have. We decided in order to do that we would choose a word and do our best to live it’s meaning in the New Year. We have had kindness, thankful, volunteering (which became big and we are still doing it.) This year our word is compassion. The world needs more compassion than ever before.
Our twelve year old daughter has continued to make Blessing bags for the homeless, gather much needed supplies for our women’s rehab center. She volunteers her time playing piano at our Altzimers Center as her schedule allows. What we do as a family reflects that the world does not revole around us. I am so proud of her efforts to help others.
I have been a Panelist for several years. I transmit faithfully, and it would be nice if I could win something, sometimes!
I think I’m in my 10th year! I’ve never won either, except for some points here and there. There are a lot of people in this, and I think it would be hard to win, lol.
No New Year Resolutions, but try to be/do better than previously!!
Nay to Resolutions this year. I am going more for 2024 New Life Changing Goals. I am Making Aiming to set: 1) 1 small goal to do everyday for 2 weeks, then the Month. I would like to make it a New Habit. 2) 3 small goal that should be no problem to achieve in a month. 3)1 medium goal that is something I can do, but will take focus and some work to accomplish. 4) 1 large goal that will affect and change my life positively but is going to take my complete attention and hard work to try to complete it for myself and by myself. I have No longer than 3 months. I will also set 1 – 6month goal, 1 – 1 year , a 2 year, 3 year, 5 year, 10 year. I am also going to do: changing 1 bad habit for 1 good habit. Change 1 personality traits that I DONT LIKE ABOUT MYSELF into one I wish I would have had . I am trying to better myself.
I made one, to never make another.
Lol, that’s how I feel, too 😅
Nay, to resolutions, every moment is an opportunity to make change. Big or little they all count. I try to save more and maintain a healthy routine.
I used to make some resolutions, but the to travel more, or fix the siding, all ran out of money before they happened. So I made a list of repairs to the house 3 years ago, and do 2 one year and now 3 years later, I still have a dozen to do. So my bucket list has disappeared and I just do maint. On my property.
I used to make New Years Resolutions, but not anymore. Instead of setting myself up for failure, I choose not to make any. I make different goals at any time when I feel I need one. In December, I decided to set specific goals concerning my mental health. I am still working on my first goal!
