Do you have your new year’s resolutions ready? That’s ok, neither do I! Are new year’s resolutions even a thing anymore?

As we all know, 2021 was yet another challenging year. So, I was wondering, what are some of the top new year’s resolutions for 2022, or rather, the most common ones that most people make every year. Let’s take a look!

Setting And Keeping New Year’s Goals

Sure, we can all set most of these goals, but how do we keep them? According to www.verywellmind.com, here are a few ways to help you stick to your resolutions/goals in the new year.

Limit Your Resolutions: Work on one small goal at a time.

Put Time Into Planning: Don’t decide on goals at the last minute, put some thought into each of them.

Start With Small Steps: Don’t do too much at once and overwhelm yourself. Small steps can help you reach a larger goal.

Avoid Repeating Past Failures: Don’t make the same resolutions over and over each year that haven’t succeeded in the past.

Remember That Change Is a Process: It may take longer than you would like to achieve a goal, but it’s not a race.

Get Support: Let family and/or friends know your goal(s), or join a group that shares your goal(s).

Learn and Adapt: If you encounter a setback, don’t give up, most people face challenges along the way.

And, if you don’t want to make resolutions or goals at the start of the new year, that’s ok, too! You can set goals at any time, or not at all.

NCP Panel Membership Resolutions For The New Year

What about resolutions for the new year when it comes to NCP panel membership? We’ve got some for you that should be easy to keep in 2022!

Scan as soon as you can.
Scan the products from your shopping trips as soon as you get home or while you’re shopping if you use the NCPMobile app. Scanning your products immediately and/or while you’re putting them away will keep them fresh in your mind, so you won’t miss any of the items. To make it even easier, use your receipt as a guide.

Scan it all.
Scan everything you buy that has a UPC barcode on it. Also, make every effort to record items you buy that don’t have a barcode by using the Barcode Reference Booklet if you use NCP’s handheld scanner, or using the on-board Non-Barcoded Items list if you use the NCPMobile App.

Record purchases made by other household members, too.
Other members of your household, if any, are part of the NCP family, too! If there’s one designated person who scans in the household, be sure that the other household members know to give that person the information about their purchases including their receipts.

Choose the correct store name or store type.
It’s important that NCP receives correct information about the stores you shop at to ensure that your shopping data is accurate. For example, if you buy items online to pick up at the store, you should choose the online store name. Be very careful to choose the correct store name; if you can’t find the store name on your store list, please select the appropriate store type.

And finally, send NCP your shopping data consistently every week!

Easy enough, right?

My colleagues and I here at NCP wish you and yours a very Happy and Healthy New Year! We look forward to another successful year thanks to our dedicated panel members!

All the best,
Taylor
