In addition to the various yummy flavors of foods and beverages available in the fall months, there are lots of fun activities to do at this time of year. Let’s talk about them!

What’s your favorite fall activity? Let me know in the comments, I love hearing from you!

Fall Festivals

Who doesn’t love a good fall festival? When the weather cooperates, there are usually many festivals, fairs and farmer’s markets to go to if you enjoy those types of activities. At fall festivals you can usually find a wide variety of food to eat or take home including lots of apple treats such as apple pies, apple crisps, apple cider donuts, candied and caramel apples, cider, and more!

You’ll also find fun activities for kids and adults, maybe a spooky haunted house or corn maze, bounce houses, pony rides, hayrides, and so on.

Panel members: Please don’t forget to scan any items you purchase at festivals, fairs, or farmer’s markets. If there isn’t a barcode for you to scan, please check the Non-Barcoded Items list in the NCPMobile app (or the Barcode Reference Booklet if you use NCP’s handheld scanner) to see if what you purchased is listed there so you can report the purchase.

More Outdoor Fall Fun

Here’s a list of some fun fall outdoor activities from Farmers Almanac that I want to share with you. Even if you don’t live where there’s a variety of fall foliage and cool fall weather, you can still enjoy these fun activities.

Go apple picking. It’s fun to pick apples right off the trees, and there’s nothing quite like the taste of freshly picked apples!

Go on a nature hike. Go for a short stroll or a long walk/hike and take in all the sights and sounds of nature.

Collect fall leaves. Observe the beautiful fall foliage and collect some colorful leaves for crafting.

Take a hayride. As mentioned above, many farms and fall festivals offer hayrides; a great way to relax and take a break after apple or pumpkin picking.

Visit the pumpkin patch. Why not pick your own pumpkin from a pumpkin patch if possible instead of buying one at a store. It’s fun to bring your perfect pumpkin home to decorate.

Visit a corn maze. Many farms offer fun corn mazes, some even have haunted ones! Test your skills getting through a corn maze!

Stuff a scarecrow. Find some old clothes to stuff with hay and add a pumpkin as the head. So fun!

Fly a kite. The gusty winds of fall make it a great time to fly a kite!

Whatever activity suits your interest, enjoy this a-maze-ing time of year!

Regards,

Taylor
