Happy New Year! At the beginning of each new year (it’s amazing how quickly the years come and go, isn’t it?), I take some time to reflect on the past year; revisiting the memories I’ve made, the places I’ve been, the things I’ve accomplished, and even the things I didn’t get to do. Then, I shift my thoughts to setting simple, achievable goals and planning new adventures for the year ahead (personally, I prefer the term goals over resolutions).
Life is unpredictable, and circumstances often change throughout the year, so it’s natural for plans and goals to evolve as needed. And truthfully, you don’t have to wait for the start of a new year to set goals. You can set them whenever inspiration strikes—or you can choose not to set them at all!
What are you looking forward to in 2025? Do you set new goals for yourself each year? Let me know in the comment section below.

Panel Membership Goals
Now, let’s take a look at some goals around NCP panel membership that you can plan for the new year.
– Consistent and accurate reporting of your shopping trips each week is the key to getting the most out of your panel membership and accumulating reward points and sweepstakes entries.
– Scan purchases from all types of stores and purchases made by other household members, too.
– Scan every shopping trip, large or small. We know that large shopping trips can be challenging to scan. Please visit National Consumer Panel’s YouTube channel for tips on scanning large shopping trips, and much more.
– Carefully chose the correct store name from your store list. If you can’t find the name of the store you shopped at, then choose the generic store type (such as food store, department store, drugstore, etc.) to report the shopping trip.
– If you use coupons or get special deals such as store sales or other discounts, be sure to include that information when scanning.
– Report your purchases of non-barcoded items, as well as UPC barcoded items. Refer to the Non-Barcoded Items list in the NCPMobile app or the Barcode Reference Booklet if you use NCP’s handheld scanner (if you switched from using the scanner to using the app, please don’t use the booklet anymore).
– Participate in NCP’s special games/promotions for chances to win prizes, bonus reward points, and more.
– Answer all the NCP surveys you receive. You’ll not only share your opinions, you’ll earn extra reward points as well.
– If you can’t scan for a period of time for any reason, please contact our Panel Support Center to let them know so your membership will remain in good standing.
– Make sure NCP has accurate contact information for you, especially your current email address. This is so important since email is NCP’s main method of communication to panel members and we don’t want our members missing out on important membership news and information, sweepstakes, promotions, etc.
I hope you’re enjoying panel membership and found these membership tips/goals to be helpful. We look forward to your continued participation in 2025!

Start a healthy food diet and exercise more. And use a food tracker to keep accountable for my daily. Food and exercise.
I love this app, I’m always shopping 🛒
This year, I’ll look forward, not backward.
Thanks for this blog!.
We share many of the same goals! Thanks for the inciteful article. 🙌
My goals for 2025 are simple:
Scan my shopping trips more regularly and to “hopefully” gain momentum for my own business. I make Custom Wooden Creations in a variety of ways. Clocks, memorial plaques, trophies, home decor, etc. Basically if I can imagine it, I can probably make it. 🙂
I’ve never made resolutions but I have created a goal board and I had 5 categories
1. minor and achievable within a month
2. something that is possible within 2 months
3. A bit harder within 3 months
4. 6 month goal and
5. 1 year
I’d use a peg board with pictures calendars enveloped sticky notes voice recordings etc. pretty helpful.
