When the holiday season comes around, many people look forward to baking. Whether it’s making all types of holiday cakes, pies, and cookies, batches of fudge and peanut brittle, or even building gingerbread houses, there’s nothing like these fun and festive treats to indulge in at this time of year.
Do you bake during the holiday season? If so, I would love to know what you enjoy making (cookies, cakes, pies, fudge, etc.). Please let me know in the blog’s comment section.
The popularity of holiday baking
Why do people bake more during the holidays than at other times of the year? Many enjoy gifting their delicious baked treats to friends, family, coworkers, etc. And, those lucky recipients not only enjoy eating the treats, they appreciate the time that went into making and decorating them.
Holiday baking can also be a chance for quality time with loved ones. It can be a fun activity to do together and a holiday tradition that you look forward to every year.

Baking shows
One thing I enjoy during the holiday season is watching holiday baking shows. I love to see all the creativity and talent that goes into the variety of baked creations. Maybe one day I’ll get inspired to try some out of the ordinary baking! Do you enjoy watching holiday baking shows, too?

Christmas m&m cookies were always made by my grandmother. I have taken up the tradition and family request them every year!
I make sugar cookies, P’nut butter balls, choc. Dipped pretzels, peanut clusters, pecan turtles, variety of bars and a couple of pies. I don’t like to cook but I love to bake!
I always make carmel corn, turtle candy and of course butter crescents. I have a huge pecan tree so almost all of my Christmas recipes use them.
I love the holiday times and I love baking cookies for the holidays. My grandkids are now old enough to help this year! They can’t wait to make cookies to share with our family and friends! They can’t wait to make special cookies for Santa and his Reindeers too! We will have so many memories to look forward to in the years to come!
l use the oven more during the winter as it helps heat the house plus I get to make a lot of yummy things!
Thank you for the recipe link too! Will have to check it out sometime.
I love baking sugar cookies during the holidays. All of the fun cookie cutter shapes and then decorating them with all of the family makes great memories and makes great cookies! Also, I feel since it’s colder in the winter that people are more willing to have the oven on heating up the house as opposed to any other time of year
I enjoy baking zucchini double chocolate chip bread, and Banana chocolate chip bread. Perfect for the Holidays.
All my friends request my sausage balls!
