I was eating a bagel this morning when a co-worker mentioned that yesterday was National Bagel Day. How could I have missed that?!
Anyway, I know it’s a day late, but I want to talk about the magnificence that is the bagel. I love all things bagel. Alright I know it’s not the healthiest thing to eat – way too many carbs on its own, let alone what you put on it. But I do love a good bagel every now and then. And so do the 204.9 million Americans who consumed bagels in 2019 (according to statista.com).
So, let’s talk bagels. The food-delivery service Grubhub put together a comprehensive report just on bagels, including top flavors and regional preferences.
According to Grubhub’s 2019 order data, the nation’s favorite bagel flavor is the “everything” bagel. The most popular topping is regular cream cheese.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy your everything bagels!

My favorite bagel is a tie between the everything and the cinnamon raisin. Depends on my desire for something that’s wholesome or something a little sweeter but I enjoy them both with the whipped cream cheese. I usually use the green onion and chives for the everything and plain for the cinnamon raisin. As far as when to serve one, my time is anytime. They’re great for a snack to get you through the day also.
Me too but it is Kwik Star in Iowa????❤ cinnamon crunch then blueberry
Great Scott’s Almighty!! To me the BEST bagel is a Cinnamon Crunch bagel from Kwik Trip Stations which are found in Wisconsin and Minnesota. If there was only one bagel left in the store and two people fighting over it, I would give it my best fight to win that bagel!????
I miss LONG ISLAND bagels, it’s just not the same in FL.
I love the everything bagel but will have to say my favorite is the garlic.
Yeah, my husband is Type 2 Diabetic. Six pieces of bread make up 1 bagel. We rarely have them for that reason too!
I love the whole wheat bagels but can’t find in my area, toasted in toaster and covered with cream cheese, the best.
My favorite is the orange cran berry with honey walnut cream cheese
Bagels are one of morning’s treats, but can be eaten anytime. While I don’t usually eat them dining out, my boyfriend makes fabulous bagels for us at home. His secret is trying the bagel in butter! We are Southerners after all!
OMY Kansas didn’t make the list. I like the cinnamon raisin bagel with reg. cream cheese. Add bacon, egg. and cheese to a plain bagel is good enough.
Bagels taste best during a cold morning and with a cup of joe ro wash them down. My only problem with this scenario is that I find my self holding my breath as I consume my cinnamon crunch bagel toasted with cream cheese.
Oh God, I’m hungry now.
I love bagels but with cream cheese but I can’t buy them
I have fix income and I’m diabetic
