If you follow NCP on Facebook (and I hope you do!), you probably saw our #NCPSweetTreat sweepstakes on Valentine’s Day! Ten lucky followers each won a $50 Amazon gift card. We enjoy surprising our panel members throughout the year with fun sweepstakes here on the blog and on our social channels.

But, we also know that Facebook only shows our posts to a limited number of our followers, and many of you missed the sweepstakes post! I want to share some tips today to help make sure you don’t miss our posts in the future.

Follow NCP on Facebook

I hope you’re already following NCP on Facebook. But if you’re not, the first thing you’ll want to do is like our page. You can find it at www.facebook.com/nationalconsumerpanel.

NCP Facebook Cover like button

See that “Like” button in the image above? Click on that. If you’re already following our page, that button will say “Liked.”

Now that you’ve liked our Facebook page, there are a few more things you can do to make sure you don’t miss any of our posts.

There are two places you can click to go to your follow settings: either click on the “liked” button, or click on the three dots just below it. If you click on the three dots, you’ll see a drop-down menu pop up. In that menu, click on “Following” to open up your follow settings.

Update Facebook Follow Settings

When your follow settings menu opens up, you’ll see options for your Facebook News Feed and notifications. Your News Feed settings are most likely set to “Default,” unless you’ve changed them before.

To see more posts from NCP in your News Feed, click the radio button for “Favorites” instead of “Default.” This will tell Facebook that you want to see our posts more often in your News Feed.

Change Facebook Notifications Settings

The final step is to update your Facebook Notifications settings so that whenever we post something new on our page— like a Sweepstakes!— you’ll get a notification about it.

In the same menu as above, this time you’ll click on “Posts” under the “Notifications” menu. It’s probably set to only notify you about highlights right now.

When you click on “Posts,” a new menu will open up with three options: Standard, Highlights, and Off. The default setting is Highlights. Click the radio button next to Standard, and you’ll get a notification for each new NCP post on Facebook! We usually only post 1-2 times per day on our page. Be sure to click “Update” when you’re finished making changes to your settings.

Follow these steps to update your Facebook settings, and this will help ensure you don’t miss anything new on our page!

If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment. Congrats to all the winners of the #NCPSweetTreat Facebook sweepstakes! We hope even more of you will enter the next time we have a sweepstakes or giveaway.

Regards,
Taylor
