Veterans Day seems like an appropriate day to share some big news from National Consumer Panel. We have selected the two organizations to receive donations this year as part of our NCP Cares charity initiative!

You might remember that this year we decided to focus on organizations that assist our nation’s veterans. We asked you, our panel members, to nominate organizations in your area, and you nominated hundreds of incredible organizations. The nominations included food pantries for struggling vets, organizations that provide mental health services, groups that help veterans overcome physical limitations, and more.

After reviewing the nominations, our team narrowed the list to five semi-finalists. Then, we asked panel members to vote on their top two choices. Voting closed Oct. 24, and after tallying the results, we are thrilled to announce the 2022 NCP Cares recipients!

Patriots & Paws

Patriots & Paws is a California-based nonprofit that provides United States service members with basic home furnishings. The organization has one full-time and one part-time employee and relies on assistance from volunteers. Veterans provide a wishlist and Patriots & Paws works to fulfill those items. The organization also provides referrals to other organizations for veterans interested in an animal companion. Future plans include operating a kennel to provide services to veterans and their animals.

I Honor Your Service to America

The mission of I Honor Your Service to America is to honor, support and encourage men and women in our armed forces worldwide, as well as veterans who have fallen on hard times, with care packages. The organization sends comforts of home like snacks, Beef Jerky, toiletries, knitted items, current magazines, books, music, movies, Girl Scout Cookies, writing materials, coffee, CDs, DVDs, pictures from home, letters, and much more.

National Consumer Panel’s Chief Operating Officer John Toomey says, “On this Veteran’s Day, I can think of no better organizations for NCP Cares to support than those that bring assistance and dignity to the individuals who protect our nation by serving in our military.”

About NCP Cares

NCP Cares is National Consumer Panel’s special community outreach program serving on both a local and national level through charitable donations and volunteer initiatives. The mainstay of the program is an annual charitable donation to organizations in our panel members’ own communities.

Last year, NCP Cares assisted two elementary schools in Pennsylvania and Louisiana. Previous initiatives have supported animal welfare organizations, food pantries and more.

Thank you to all our panel members who nominated organizations and voted for this year’s recipients!
