Did you ever watch Sesame Street? I loved watching it when I was a kid, and Cookie Monster was my favorite Muppet! The fuzzy blue monster with googly eyes eats everything, but his favorite is obviously cookies. Maybe that’s why he’s my favorite… I love cookies too!
My family and I baked a lot of cookies the last few years, while we spent more time at home because of the pandemic. I enjoy baking cookies from scratch, but It’s so easy to buy pre-made cookie dough, or even slice-and-bake cookies at the grocery store. It saves a lot of time, too.
My favorite are chocolate chip cookies, but we love to eat all kinds! Are you curious about what kind of cookie is most popular in your state? Take a look at this post I wrote two years ago with information from a Nestle Toll House survey!
Do you prefer to bake cookies from scratch, buy pre-made dough and bake it yourself, or buy cookies already baked? Let me know in the comments! And if you have a favorite cookie recipe, let me know– I’m always looking for new ones!

I tried this recipe and it turned out really good. What else can I add to the recipe? Thanks for the recipe.
I like baking cookies from scratch. My favorite is OOEY GOOEY BUTTER COOKIES. Lol. You use 1 box of funfetti cake mix, 1 block of cream cheese (8 oz.), 1 stick of softened butter and 1 egg. Put some gloves on and moosh everything together until well blended. Roll walnut sized balls in powdered sugar. Heat oven to 325. Put parchment paper on cookie sheet. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes. Watch closely and take out when you see them just starting to get tan around the edges. Cool for 5 minutes then place on cooling racks to cool completely. You might not be able to wait for them to cool completely before gobbling a couple down. Lol.
These cookies sound like fun to make and yummy to eat. I will be definitely making up a batch of these real soon.
Thanks for sharing the recipe!!!
👍🤗
Thanks for sharing this recipe, sounds very interesting. As soon as the weather cools down enough to use the oven again I am going to try making these cookies
My husband loves cookies so he will buy the generic or store brand cookies. I will have one or two in a month.

I love cookies to I like them from the store or I bake them myself
I personally don’t bake cookies and the few times I attempted to make ready to bake cookie rolls I end up with half the amount of cookies because I couldn’t control my love for cookie dough. 😛Sometimes I will buy two, one for baking and one for eating raw.😗 My grandma, sister and I baked X-mas cookies every year and it was so much fun and not to mention all the yummy varieties I had to choose from. That tradition rubbed off on my sister but not me. I prefer to buy my favorite bakery fresh chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, white chocolate macadamia nut, peanut butter and of course soft baked sugar cookies. Yummy cookies!

I make cookies. No preservatives! I lost my appetite 3 years ago, but I can always eat cookies! I make a German chocolate cookie, that is always liked. I ❤️ to share my baked goods with family, friends & neighbors.
My new favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies is from Emmymade on Facebook! It’s actually half chocolate chip, half snickerdoodle.
Ingredients:
1 box white/yellow cake mix
1/4 c all-purpose flour
1/2 c canola or olive oil
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 bag (12 oz) chocolate chips
1/8 c cinnamon sugar
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together (except chocolate chips and cinnamon sugar). Take approximately half of the dough, place into medium mixing bowl. Add chocolate chips to that half-batch. Form cookies and place onto baking sheet. With the other half of the dough, form into cookies and dip into the cinnamon sugar (easiest to do this with a small bowl), and then place those onto another cookie sheet (or the first one, if you have room). Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. Makes about two dozen cookies.
I Love the cookies at Crumbl, beyond amazing and I’ll never bake a cookie again since I found them
Amazing how much sugared good is consumed in the world…..and cookies are probably a huge fraction in that ratio.
I’ve never met a person that doesn’t like cookies.
Me and my family eat alot of cookies took a
Cookie monster too chocolate chip is my favorite will buy premade cut and bake cookies and ice cream it’s one of my favorites yes I can understand how America eats so many cookies a year it’s one of the best treats on that you can make or bake
A lot of cookies I bake from scratch are ones I can’t find at a store: oatmeal spice drop cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip. It’s fun to make them too.
I too bake all our cookies however my son still screams for Oreo’s ! When I have more time I would be happy to post some of my favorite recipes.
Love to bake Toll House cookies for my family. My favorite is wedding ball cookies.
I love homemade cookies.I remember my grandma made them and I know all her special recipes.
I love Sesame Street and I love cookies! Chocolate chip cookie and salted caramel cookies are my absolute favorite other than Girl Scout cookies
I prefer to buy cookies from a bakery, for that good homemade taste without the cleanup.
Homemade down south from scratch oatmeal raisin shortbread cookies and chocolate chip
I can’t believe how many cookies Americans eat. 1 in 3 average 3 cookies a day! That blows my mind!! I love cookies. Homemade is best, in my opinion. But with the heat during summer months, my baking skills are put on the back burner (no pun intended). I make a lot of Krispy treats during the hotter months. Even with those, homemade is best.
I love reading the statistics. Thanks for posting!
I have always baked my own cookies from scratch. I don’t trust the quality of the ingredients or sanitary conditions in the companies that bake cookies.
Love to cookies and milk with my Grandchildren on
