Did you ever watch Sesame Street? I loved watching it when I was a kid, and Cookie Monster was my favorite Muppet! The fuzzy blue monster with googly eyes eats everything, but his favorite is obviously cookies. Maybe that’s why he’s my favorite… I love cookies too!

My family and I baked a lot of cookies the last few years, while we spent more time at home because of the pandemic. I enjoy baking cookies from scratch, but It’s so easy to buy pre-made cookie dough, or even slice-and-bake cookies at the grocery store. It saves a lot of time, too.

My favorite are chocolate chip cookies, but we love to eat all kinds! Are you curious about what kind of cookie is most popular in your state? Take a look at this post I wrote two years ago with information from a Nestle Toll House survey!

Do you prefer to bake cookies from scratch, buy pre-made dough and bake it yourself, or buy cookies already baked? Let me know in the comments! And if you have a favorite cookie recipe, let me know– I’m always looking for new ones!

Americans love cookies! According to research from TOP Data, one in three Americans eat more than three cookies each day on average. That’s a lot of cookies! And, 95% of Americans eat at least one cookie per month.

Demand for cookies rose 25% during the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, many of us were baking more cookies at home to pass the time at home. NCP data showed an increase in purchases of flour and other baking-related items.
