Boy, it’s cold outside! At least in this part of the country. No matter what holiday you celebrate this time of year, who doesn’t enjoy snuggling up on the couch and watching a good holiday movie?
My favorite has always been “It’s a Wonderful Life.” But there are many other great holiday-themed movies; here is list of some of them:
- A Christmas Carol/Scrooge/Scrooged
- A Christmas Story
- Elf
- Holiday Inn
- Home Alone
- How The Grinch Stole Christmas
- Jingle All The Way
- March of the Wooden Soldiers
- Miracle on 34th Street
- The Polar Express
- The Santa Clause
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- White Christmas
What’s your favorite holiday movie(s)? Let me know (send your comments to [email protected] or leave a reply on this page).
Christmas Trees
For those who take part in Christmas celebrations, nearly 100 million households across the U.S. will display a Christmas tree, according to the sixth annual Christmas tree survey from the American Christmas Tree Association, conducted by Nielsen.
Of those Christmas trees displayed, 81 percent will be artificial trees and 19 percent will be real trees.
The survey also indicated that the number of years consumers will reuse their artificial trees has increased.
PSC Closings
I just wanted you to know that the Panel Support Center will be closing at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 24, and will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26.
Also, the PSC will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2. 2017. It seems so weird to write 2017!
On behalf of everyone here at NCP, I just want to wish you all a very happy holiday! See you in 2017!
I’m with you on a Wonderful Life ..it’s not Christmas till I see it , And a Christmas Carol I’ve seen many versions, but the Best Is the 1951 version with Alastair Sim as Scrooge none better . hope every one had a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year
Miracle on 34st street tops the list but then I start with Tim Allen’s movies starting with The Santa Clause.
I haven’t see a movie ion many years …ANY movie
Alastair Sims “A Christmas Carol”, “It’s A Wonderful Life”, “White Christmas” (just watched it Thanksgiving day). Would also like to give mention to, “Miracle On 34th Street”, “A Christmas Story” and “Elf”.
Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life
It’s a Wonderful Life is my all time favorite Christmas movie. It is what I truly believe in. We do touch so many lives and hopefully it was a positive influence. As a former special education teacher I could see the positive influence I had on students in elementary school and later in high school
Handels Messiah.
I always loved “The Bishop’s Wife” wit David NIves and Loretta Young. A newer favorite is “Love Actually” with Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson and too many other stars to name.
I would say Holiday Inn, White Christmas & It’s a Wonderful Life. Love those old movies. With the crazy weather we have had here in WA, it is just foggy and cold. This time for the last 2 weeks started snowing then clears up by the Fridays, then over this last weekend had snow Sunday. My daughter got her wish of having a white Birthday on the 8th. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year in 2017 filled with Love, Joy & Peace (which we could REALLY use in the World).
