I’ve never been a big fan of coffee creamers, until recently when I began making my own iced coffee at home. I wanted a bit of sweetness added to my iced coffee, so I decided to try different flavored creamers. There are so many options out there! One flavor I didn’t expect to like, but ended up loving, is lavender—it has quickly become my favorite. So good!
If you drink coffee (hot or iced), do you add any type of creamer to it? Let me know in the comments!
Inside the world of coffee creamers
The coffee creamer market is experiencing steady growth, influenced by changing consumer preferences, economic factors, and product innovations.
For many coffee lovers, a good cup of coffee isn’t complete without the perfect creamer. There are so many options on the market; from traditional dairy-based creamers to plant-based alternatives.
Classic coffee creamers are typically made from dairy such as milk, cream, and half-and-half. But, as dietary preferences and lactose intolerance become more common, non-dairy creamers have surged in popularity. Almond, oat, soy, and coconut milk creamers provide a smooth, dairy-free alternative, while bringing with them their own unique tastes.
Popular flavors
Today, the market is filled with a wide variety of flavors of coffee creamers. Let’s take a look at some of the more popular flavors as shared by fullcoffeeroast.com.
Vanilla – A timeless favorite, vanilla coffee creamer adds a smooth and slightly sweet touch without overpowering the coffee’s natural flavors.
French Vanilla – A creamier, richer take on traditional vanilla.
Hazelnut – This nutty, slightly sweet flavor pairs well with the boldness of coffee, making it a popular choice among coffee lovers.
Caramel Macchiato – Caramel-flavored creamers bring a sweet and buttery richness to coffee.
Café Mocha – For those who enjoy a bit of indulgence, mocha or chocolate creamers provide a delicious, dessert-like taste.
Of course, we can’t overlook special seasonal flavors, which are especially popular during the holidays.
Pumpkin Spice – The ultimate fall flavor, pumpkin spice coffee creamer is infused with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of pumpkin, creating a cozy, fall season experience.
Peppermint Mocha – A winter favorite, this creamer blends cool peppermint with rich chocolate, making it perfect for the holiday season.
Gingerbread & Eggnog – These warm and festive flavors appear around the November/December holiday season, adding a touch of nostalgia and comfort to your coffee.
Current trends
As coffee drinkers become more health-conscious and environmentally aware, new trends are shaping the coffee creamer market:
Plant-Based Creamers – Non-dairy creamers made from oat, almond, soy, and coconut milk continue to gain popularity.
Sugar-Free and Keto-Friendly Creamers – Popular with those who are cutting back on sugar or following low-carb diets.
Natural and Organic Options – Consumers are increasingly seeking creamers with minimal ingredients, avoiding artificial sweeteners, preservatives, and hydrogenated oils.
Reporting coffee purchases
If you’re a coffee drinker, don’t forget to scan your coffee and coffee-related purchases, including coffee creamers!
If you buy any type of packaged ground/whole bean coffee that has a UPC barcode, scan the barcode to report the purchase.
If your ground/whole bean coffee purchase does not have a barcode, select Coffee – Ground/Whole Bean category in the Non-Barcoded Items section of the NCPMobile app. If you use NCP’s handheld scanner, refer to the Barcode Reference Booklet.
You can report ready-to-drink coffee, too! If you buy a cup of coffee select Coffee – Cup of Coffee to report the purchase.
Have a brew-tiful day!
Regards,
Taylor
