We’ve just wrapped up our NCP Summer Vibes survey and are excited to share the sunshine-filled results with you! From your favorite summer activities and dream vacation spots to your thoughts on the summer heat, foods, drinks and more, here’s a peek into what makes your summer sizzle.
On the Go
We wanted to know: what are your favorite summer activities? Here’s what panel members who responded to the survey had to say:
– Relaxing at home
– Vacation/traveling
– Gardening
– Swimming
– Relaxing at the beach/pool
Half of our survey respondents usually take a vacation during the summer. Here are the top five vacation destinations:
– Beach
– Mountains
– Cruise
– All-inclusive resort
– Exploring other countries
Fresh Air Fun
Summer is a popular time for outdoor events like festivals and concerts!
– 45% rarely attend outdoor festivals and concerts
– 28% occasionally attend
– 22% never attend
– 6% frequently attend
Farmers markets are another staple of summer- eating in season is good for so many reasons.
– 37% occasionally shop at farmers markets
– 36% rarely do
– 17% never do
– 10% frequently do
Summer Food and Drinks
Do you eat different foods or drink different beverages in the summer? Here are the top five summer foods and drinks our survey respondents enjoy during the season:
– Fruits
– BBQ/Grilled foods
– Ice cream/ices
– Seafood
– Salads
– Iced tea
– Water
– Lemonade
– Soda/pop
– Iced coffee/lattes
Heat Waves
How do you feel about summer weather? Some people love it, others hate it. Our panel members are no different!
We asked panel members what they think about summer heat:
– 21% strongly dislike
– 28% dislike
– 25% are neutral
– 19% like
– 7% strongly like
What is the ideal summer temperature for you? Here’s what survey respondents said:
– 10% said below 70 degrees
– 65% said 70-80 degrees
– 22% said 80-90 degrees
– 2% said above 90 degrees
Have you noticed any changes in summer weather through the years?
– 54% have noticed significant changes
– 30% have noticed minor changes
– 14% haven’t noticed changes
– 2% don’t know
Sun and Bugs
Many people are outdoors more often in the summer, which means more exposure to sun and bugs.
How frequently do you use sunscreen?
– 36% said frequently
– 31% said occasionally
– 21% said rarely
– 13% said never
How frequently do you use insect repellant?
– 14% said frequently
– 34% said occasionally
– 37% said rarely
– 15% said never
Drip Drop
Finally, we asked our panel members if they do anything to conserve water during the summer months.
– 35% do nothing
– 30% water their lawn/garden early in the morning or late in the evening
– 16% take shorter showers
– 13% use water-efficient appliances

I enjoyed the summer but it seemed like it just started it didn’t last long this summer same amount of time as last year but it sure didn’t seem like it
I really love summer unfortunately this one went really bad for me, starting vacation I got a trimaleolar fracture in my ankle, then got a surgery and after two months I’m still with croaches
