What’s Your Favorite Hobby?

I always get super stressed during this time of year. Thanksgiving is coming soon, and not long after, will be the gift-giving holidays, whichever one you celebrate.

One thing that helps me is having a few hobbies, which keep me centered and functioning! My favorite things to do are yoga, hiking, and baking.

Hobbies are great for relieving stress, helping us develop new skills, and also they often create a bond with others. Having a hobby or two can enrich your life and give you a different perspective on things.

  1. My favorite hobbies are reading, binge watching my fave shows and playing games on my phone! It’s so easy to lose track of time.

    1. I love crocheting on these cool mornings and at night after dinner. On warmer day’s and nights my roommate and I love to go fishing.

  2. Well it’s definitely not your “typical” hobby… But I chair a few local dog rescues here in Detroit and I spend most of all my free time running around throughout our city doing dog rescue! Of course rescue any kind of animal that is in need, But sadly the majority of my rescues are almost entirely of the Pitbull Breed. That of course is only because they are our most grossly over populated breed, and in turn our most neglected, abused & abandoned. Needless to say though I LOVE RESCUE AND I ADORE PITBULL’S!!!

I obviously won’t go into my hole advocacy spiel but they are so misunderstood I feel sad for anybody who was never met one because you truly are missing !! So as you can see rescue is in my heart and as that, it is my favorite hobby,!! 🙂

    1. I absolutely love Pitbulls! Unless they are trained to be mean, they are the biggest lapdog you’ll ever have…I mean that literally. My son always had Pitbulls and they always forget how big they are and want to lay on my lap and give me lots of wet kisses.

  3. My hobbies are scrapbooking and making cards. It makes me feel good to send personal cards that I create to loved ones and friends and the scrapbooking let’s you separate each event helping you to remember the meaning of each one in a decorative way.

    1. I do the same! Can’t remember the last time I bought a card from a store 😂. Christmas holidays I usually make anywhere between 120-150 cards for mailing and swaps.

  4. My favorite hobbies include rock hunting, watching movies or TV, shopping, playing with my bunny, cooking, gardening, and looking for antiques.

  5. My favorite hobby is decorating for the holidays. I enjoy browsing at beautiful centerpieces, for inspiration and then I make my own version on a smaller scale. It gets me in the holiday spirit, and I also enjoy the crafting involved. This also let’s you take what you already have and refresh it.

  6. Asking about hobbies really gets me going! I used to garden, but don’t have any space for it now, so I just have pots all over the apartment now. When I physically can, I do yoga, bike and swim. I read, watch movies, knit, crochet, paint and draw; make candles, wreaths, Christmas ornaments, silk flower arrangements, decoupage–at some point in time, I’ve tried almost every craft I have run across. Right now, I’m doing some wood working, and I’ve gotten supplies for wood burning and quilting. I used to Madame, make she’ll arrangements/kickbacks, jewellery and played about with clay. I just love making things, especially for other people, and I’ve never met a craft I didn’t like!

  7. I’m an avid reader, but I also enjoy a little television (crime dramas and action) and movies. I love dancing and walking, listening to music, and travelling. I also volunteer for several organizations. I
