This Sunday is Mother’s Day. This year, my husband will be cooking dinner for me, my mom, and my mother-in-law. It should be interesting!

According to the National Retail Foundation, total Mother’s Day-related spending is expected to reach $23.6 billion, compared with last year’s previous record of $21.4 billion.

  • Spa day, etc.: 24.2%
  • Books or CDs: 20.8%
  • Housewares or gardening tools: 19.5%
  • Consumer electronics: 14.9%
